Calculate the Volume of Pressure Vessel:

In this post, I would like to explain how to Calculate the volume of the pressure vessel. I already explained in my previous post how to calculate the different types of dishes you want to know how to find check out my previous posts. Volume Calculation:

TO DEVELOP A CYLINDRICAL  SHELL IN CAD

FIRST CONSIDER HOW many volumes OF THE  CYLINDRICAL SHELL IS REQUIRED TO CLIENT.

EXAMPLE: HE ASKING (1650 ID X 8THK) OF VOLUME 4000 LITERS

HOW  TO CALCULATE THE VOLUME OF CYLINDRICAL SHELL:

VOLUME OF THE SHELL:

AREA = PI X r2 X H

(H= TOTAL HEIGHT OF SHELL)

(I AM CONSIDER 1870 MM HEIGHT AFTER CALCULATING IT NEARLY REACHES 4000 LITERS)

( r = ID/2 = 1650/2 = 825

= (3.1428 X (825)2X 1870) / 1000000

= (2139068.25 X 1870)/1000000

= 4000.057 liters

= 4000 liters

THEN THE HEIGHT OF THE SHELL IS 1870 mm

TOTAL VOLUME OF THE SHELL = 4000 LITERS

TOTAL VOLUME OF THE TOP DISH = 455 LITERS

TOTAL VOLUME OF THE BOTTOM DISH = 455 LITERS

 

BY ADDING THREE VOLUMES = (4000+455+455)

= 4910 LITERS

TOTAL VOLUME OF THE TANK = 4910 LITERS
